Emmaus House is located at 733 S. 14th St., in Saginaw, Michigan. It is run
by Sister Marietta, and was founded to assist women upon their release from
substance abuse rehab, jail, or prison. Emmaus House provides these women with
a place to stay, often reuniting them with their children, and helps
assist them in their continuing rehabilitation.
To date, donors have given 10
houses to Emmaus House. These houses have been renovated with the assistance of
many volunteers. The inhabitants are supervised and educated in areas, such as
parenting skills. They are encouraged to further their own education, with the
hope that they are able to stay healthy and drug/alcohol free, so they can
eventually hold a job to provide for themselves and their children.
We know the goals and purposes of Emmaus House were admired and encouraged by our late son, John. Your donation, big or small, will go a long way, and is always appreciated. Also, we feel it is important for you to know that 100% of your donation will go directly to Emmaus House.
Thanks, Dave and Jean
